SYNOPSIS

Lolo Dando , a man of old age challenged by Alzheimer’s disease, wanted to move away from his wife, Lola Ada, upon seeing a young and beautiful maiden he named Rosa whom he longs to see and rather to be with. Despite the pain of leaving his husband, Lola Ada finally decided to bid farewell for love’s sake.

This is a story that tells us that no matter how memories fade through time, our hearts will do its part in taking us home where we truly belong.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Danielle Bernadette A. Banigoos has been part of the the first MMFF Basic Filmmaking Workshop last 2015. She also took part in the 2015 Petron Video Making Workshop with Ricky Lee and Laurice Guillen. Her ‘Desiderata’, is a bio film about her own lost and desire, and ‘Umuwi Na Tayo’ which was written by Tricia Mae Abid is a 25-minute short film about a Grandfather who has Alzheimer’s disease. She took part as the production manager and crew to ‘Weng’ by Joey Co Marquez and ‘Simbuyo’ by Kimi Teves.

SYNOPSIS

The story of Weng tells about the life of Erwin Dayrit, an outstanding Fernandino awardee with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Despite having a congenital disease, he found himself between his craft and his canvas.

At his core are the people who acknowledges him not just for his expertise but moreover, how his personality humbly resonates to the people around him. The documentary film aspires to impart the art of empowering amidst struggles and endeavors in life.

Joey Co Marquez, a Fine Arts student from University of the East Caloocan, he was one of the cinematographer in the experimental film ” Eksit” and “Iman” by Netherplay Productions.He was also the Asst. Director of the short film ” Balik-Loob ” directed by John Nikko Pelaez that won the Best Film and Audience Choice Award in CSB Guerilla Twenty-Quatro On the Spot Film Making Competition. He was also the audioman of the short film ” Ang Puso ng Garapon “, an official entry of ArtStroke Films in Sorok Film Festival. He was also the Director of the Documentary film “Weng”, a docu about an artist that suffer from a serious physical condition and the Cinematographer of the short film “Umuwi na Tayo” by Danielle Bernadette Banigoos.
